Kowhai Trees

Anna's Dad sent Room 5 a parcel. Anna is our amazing teacher (Room 5 insisted that this had to go on our blog). Before we opened it we felt the envelope and tried to guess what it could be. Lots of us thought it was money. But it was Kowhai seeds.
Luckily Anna's Dad put some instructions on what to do with the seeds.
Take a look at our photos to see what we did.

We can't wait to see how long they take to grow.

  1. Hi Room 5,
Keep watching your kowhai seeds. It may
Take a couple of weeks before you see any little shoots come above the ground. Just keep them warm and don't let them dry out, but don't over water them. Hope you will all have a little kowhai to take home.
    All the best, Anna's dad.

  2. I am looking forward to watching the Kowhai shoots come through and then turn in to tiny trees.
